A LORRY has shed more than 15 tonnes of bricks on the A14 near the Rowley Mile services after overturning in the early hours of this morning.
Fire crews from Newmarket and Cambridge were called to the accident on the eastbound carriageway shortly after 7am.

They used cutting equipment to free the driver from his cab. He was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, but is not thought to have suffered any severe injuries.

The eastbound carriageway of the A14 has been shut at Quy and is likely to remain closed until lunchtime while the scene is cleared.

Motorists are being diverted onto the A1303 and A1304, with long queues through Newmarket town centre.
