FORMER Soham captain Michael Simpson has re-signed for the club after an unsuccessful one-month stint at Corby Town.
The 28 year old, who signed for the Southern League Premier Division side after eight years as a Green, made the swith back this week.

Simpson is thought to have agreed to the move after a lack of first team action at Corby, where he made just one substitute appearance.

Soham chairman Colin Murfitt said: "We are all delighted Michael has re-signed. He has always been a big part of the club and we all love him here."

Prior to joining the Steelmen, Simpson made 326 appearances for the Greens, scoring 75 goals, including a hat-trick in his final game, a 3-2 home win over Dunstable Town.
